Recent years have seen a surge in activity around the use of business as a tool for social good. Impact investing and social entrepreneurship continue to attract attention, and mainstream financial institutions, such as BlackRock, JP Morgan, and Goldman Sachs, are rushing to meet this demand. A 2013 US Trust survey found that 70% of millennials believe business plays a role in improving society , and 67% believe their investment decisions are a way to express their values.
LAVAN harnesses the growing interest in business as a tool for good to inspire, engage, and build Jewish identity. Through dialogue on Jewish values, curation of investment opportunities, and the connection with Israel, we create a community of passionate individuals who see impact investing and social entrepreneurship as meaningful expressions of Jewish identity.
